Main centre forecasts for Saturday night

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Auckland this evening is likely to have cloudy skies and west to northwest winds, also some patchy rain is likely. Plenty of dry spells are also in the mix. Overnight rain may become a little more persistent for a time then is likely to clear by or around dawn as winds tend a little more to the southwest. It is not likely to be cold with a reasonable overnight low of 12 degrees.

Wellington sees brisk north to northwest winds with a few cloudy areas drifting through but expect plenty of clear spells too. Wellington dips to 11 degrees.

After a mild day, Christchurch will have light winds and some high cloud this evening and overnight, fairly tame conditions with a low of 6 or 7 degrees. Just on dawn tomorrow a brief southwest change may bring a few early showers.

Dunedin will have high cloud this evening with north to northwest breezes, late evening a southwest change moves through bringing a period of rain which clears overnight. A low of 6 is forecast overnight.

The all important All Blacks v Argentina game tonight in Hamilton is likely to see very similar weather to Auckland so a rain jacket would be a wise choice to take along to the game tonight, but hopefully plenty of dry spells in the mix too.
