Long weekend: Sunny start, soggy ending

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Saturday looks to be the sunniest day nationwide this Labour weekend, with clear skies and generally light winds, bringing mild temperatures.

Sunday is appearing not quite so pleasant out west, with some cloud and rain moving up the mainland’s western regions and that unsettled mix is likely to move into southern regions too.

Monday is basically a washout for many of us, with cold conditions in the south seeing snow levels lower and chilly winds as well.

A mixed bag of a weekend but for some regions, 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.
