Is that a jib at our Met Services tiny rain radar with its hourly updates?

WW Forecast Team on 31/08/2010 5:15am

We are pointing out that many other nations have updates that are actually useful.  Hourly updates are a bit like hourly rugby updates during a live rugby game.  We want the NZ Govt to allow MetService to free up this vital service – not a dig at MetService as they are contracted by the Govt and I believe the NZ Govt dictates what is to be free and what isn’t.
