Bay Of Plenty
Heavy Rain Warning, Areas Affected: Eastern Bay of Plenty In the 4 to 6 hours from 9pm Thursday, expect 70 to 90mm near the ranges with intensities peaking at 20 to 25mm per hour before midnight. Note that 25 to 40mm is expected near the coast east of Whakatane.
Rotorua

Heavy Rain Warning, Areas Affected: Gisborne north of Ruatoria In the 6 hours from 9pm Thursday expect 50 to 70mm of rain with intensities peaking at 15 to 20mm per hour between about 11pm Thursday and 2am Friday.

Strong winds now hitting Te Puke, gusts to 54.0km/h fromt the North, average wind speed 21.8km/h, 32.1mm of rain as at 6:17 pm, 18.9c outside, Barometer 996.7hPa and still falling -0.4hPa/hr

there seem to be no warnings for the coromandel area. right now in whitianga we are getting strong wind and heavy rain and the water is rising pretty fast too… looks to me like we may suffer some flooding again.
