This weekend is the last weekend of summer and thanks to a high pressure system most places should be dry, sunny and warm says WeatherWatch.co.nz.
A brief sou’westerly change today will bring a slight cooling to temperatures so the weekend won’t be as scorching as this week has been. Still, it’s going to be great weather for beach goers or for those wanting to just get out and mow the lawns.
WeatherWatch.co.nz says most New Zealanders view March 1 as the start of Autumn however a recent poll undertaken by the website shows that just as many people will be pleased to see Autumn arrive.
34% of respondents said Summer was their favourite month, tied with those who prefer Autumn. Spring rated just 20% and Winter 12%.
The first week of Autumn looks as though it will be settled in the upper North Island but possibly windy and changeable further south.

Any ideas on what the weather is going to be like over the next couple of months? Getting married on April 3rd, so hoping its not going to start pouring down and bringing on the wintery weather!!

Lets hopes winter lasts as little as possible anywhere.. Summers by WW always cut summer short and count the days of 100 days of summer.. never hear them do that for winter.
The seasons are changing and nz is moving northwards (correct WW)?
What has the year in store for us WW.. exclude Niwa please.
