The long weekend is nearly here and still the weather gods seem to be smiling on much of Aotearoa.
There will be imperfections here and there but after the recent spate of inclement weather, some sunshine should be seen at least for a day or 2, across a majority of the nation.
Still the eastern part of the country look set for the best weather, apart from a possible early shower or 2 on Saturday in Gisborne and Hawkes Bay and also a cold southerly may make itself known by Monday across the eastern areas of the mainland. Other than that, as the old song goes, it’ll be “sunshine and lollipops”.
Elsewhere Saturday and part of Sunday is looking fairly dry but then it turns to custard a little, with the onset of norwesters delivering cloud and some rainy spells.
