A west to northwesterly airflow lies over most of New Zealand tomorrow, a front pushes onto the West Coast of the South Island from evening as a low pressure system moves onto the lower South Island.
For much of the North Island in the west expect a mix of sun and cloud with west to southwest breezes, there may be a brief shower or two Taranaki southwards otherwise mainly dry. The east coast has a mainly sunny day with west to southwest winds dying out around midday then light winds for the afternoon.
For the South Island we see mainly dry weather in the east, sun with increasing high cloud. Rain move into coastal Southland late afternoon slowly pushing northwards getting into Otago overnight where there may be a heavy fall or two.
The West Coast of the South Island sees rain about Fiordland push northwards from evening, a few heavy falls likely.
