For much of the North Island expect mainly sunny conditions. For the Waikato and northwards cloud builds a little after midday which brings the low risk of a late afternoon isolated shower. The east coast sees a cloudy start, perhaps even a drizzle patch then sunny spells increase after midday. Winds are light for most tending onshore in the afternoon, southerlies along the east coast ease.
The South Island has mainly sunny weather, perhaps a touch of morning cloud for some otherwise it’s looking to be a great day. Light winds in the morning then afternoon sea breezes can be expected for most. Afternoon temperatures reaching into the mid 20’s for inland areas.
