Mostly anticyclonic for the South Island on Wednesday meanwhile a southeasterly airflow moving around this high pushes over the North Island.

A shower or two for Northland on Wednesday, the same goes for the east coast. Mainly dry elsewhere for the North Island with a mix of sun and cloud.

The South Island has a dry day with mostly sunny conditions, some cloud about mainly morning then breaking away. Some high cloud for the upper South Island.
