InfoGraphic: The Big Picture for Wednesday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A large anticyclone directs a light northeasterly airflow over New Zealand on Wednesday.

Plenty of cloud about the North Island on Wednesday, there may be a morning shower or drizzle patch for the upper North Island. In the afternoon the odd isolated shower may develop also, possibly becoming heavy from southern Auckland through to northern Taranaki.

Sunny spells for most of the South Island, isolated showers possible in the afternoon about inland areas, then clearing in the evening.

Must be the most boring period of weather for ages.
No storms, even in the near future!

The Summer has been long this year
But Winter maybe harsh I fear
Snow around?
Well let us see
If it rains at all
I’ll jump with glee!!
