Mainly anticyclonic conditions across New Zealand today and Wednesday bringing mainly settled weather.

Mostly sunny for the North Island today especially in the west, some cloud and times about eastern Northland and Gisborne / Hawkes Bay. The South Island has a fairly sunny day also however expect some high cloud, perhaps some early morning mid level cloud in the east. The odd spit or shower about Southland, mainly this morning.

Mostly sunny for the upper / western North Island on Wednesday, some high cloud from afternoon in the west. A few clouds also appearing in the northeast from afternoon. Gisborne sees the risk of a shower in the morning then about the ranges of Hawkes Bay / Gisborne in the afternoon watch for the chance of an isolated shower. The South Island is mainly dry with some high cloud, a few showers about Fiordland however stretching into South Westland at times.
