An anticyclone brings mainly settled weather to the North Island on Tuesday with a weakening front pushing northwards over the South Island during the day.
Mostly sunny for the North Island on Tuesday, some cloud for Northland and about the lower western North Island.
The West Coast of the South Island is mostly cloudy with the odd shower, heavy rain spreads northwards for South Westland during the day. Hot and dry out east however expect morning rain then easing to showers and sunny spells for Southland and Otago.
