An anticyclone brings mainly settled weather to New Zealand today. On Friday a northerly airflow increases with a front moving onto the lower South Island in the morning.

Mainly settled weather across New Zealand today, there may be some morning fog about Auckland and the Waikato then breaking away. Fiordland sees some rain this morning then easing.

On Friday a northerly airflow increases, once again a chance of morning fog for the Waikato as a ridge of high pressure hangs on first thing. Heavy rain pushes into Fiordland in the morning then makes its way northwards reaching North Westland in the evening.
