Fairly settled for the North Island on Saturday under a ridge of high pressure although there may be a shower or two about, a front pushes northwards and weakens over the South Island during the day. A ridge hangs over most of the country on Sunday however a few showers are still possible for some regions.
Generally settled for the North Island on Saturday, there may be a shower or two about in the afternoon / evening for western and upper North Island regions but overall it is still quite dry. Morning heavy rain for the West Coast of the South Island then easing and clearing in the afternoon, mainly dry out east with some high cloud. Morning showers about Southland and Otago clear then sunny areas increase.
Mainly settled on Sunday for the North Island however expect plenty of high cloud, a few showers affect Northland during the day and some other upper North Island regions late afternoon / evening. Mostly sunny for the east coast of the South Island, some cloud in the west with rain in Fiordland.
