A southwesterly airflow lies over New Zealand today. Becoming mainly anticyclonic and settled on Tuesday.

The odd shower about for most regions around New Zealand today but many long dry periods also. Morning rain about East Cape / Gisborne eases to showers. For more in depth details check out our national forecast for today (previous article / story to this one).

Mainly settled across New Zealand on Tuesday, morning showers about Coromandel and northern Hawkes Bay / Gisborne then easing and clearing in the afternoon. The South Island is fairly dry, a few showers about the far south especially morning then again in the evening.
