InfoGraphic: The Big Picture for Monday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

An anticyclone keeps conditions mainly settled and sunny for New Zealand today, temperatures becoming hot this afternoon for some inland areas.

As you can see going by the graphic for today conditions are going to be fairly hot and sunny for most, temperatures approaching the mid thirties in Central Otago this afternoon. There may be an isolated shower about the lower North Island for inland areas late this afternoon and evening, and while not in the graphic below there is the low chance of an isolated shower for Central Otago late afternoon / evening also.

Some cloud this morning for Wellington and up along the east coast bringing the chance of a light shower then breaking to mostly sunny weather this afternoon. Some cloud may bring a light shower to Northland in the east this morning also.

Hi guys
I do like your map today. A brilliant, easy to read at a glance graphic, with good colours too.
Well done, hope it’s going to stay.

Thanks heaps Stef! A lot of work has gone into getting these looking like this, although it may look straight forward it was more getting the systems in place to make these day in day out that was difficuilt.

Thanks again, another due at 4pm! 🙂

Aaron
