InfoGraphic: The Big Picture for Friday / Saturday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Mainly anticyclonic over New Zealand today and on Saturday with a light northerly quarter airflow draped over the country.

Areas of cloud and sun for most of the North Island today, a few morning showers about Bay Of Plenty, Coromandel and possibly the east coast (especially Gisborne). The odd isolated shower may crop up late afternoon / evening from Northland down through to Bay Of Plenty. Morning mid level cloud breaking to sunny areas and some high cloud for most South Island regions, light winds tending onshore in the afternoon.

A shower or two for northeastern parts of the North Island on Saturday, mainly morning then the possibility of an isolated shower late afternoon / evening. Mainly dry for the South Island, there may be a shower about the lower South Island later in the day or overnight.
