Incoming front – #WeatherRisks for Friday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

There isn’t anything major in the pipeline for today in the way of weather risks, though a couple of places are looking at a blustery or wet day all up.

Northwesterlies will strengthen about Cook Strait at times during the day, and a slow moving front makes its way northwards over the South Island during the day, bringing rain to South Westland around midday, with heavy falls moving in.
There’s also rain in the pipeline with heavy falls possible in North Westland later in the evening.
