Conditions should be gradually easing today in rain soaked areas of recent days and in eastern parts of the North Island, some liquid sunshine is possible for the first time with a gradual lowering of temperatures there.
Yesterday the mid 20s were topped once again in northern and eastern areas of the North Island but today it seems that the mercury won’t rise to any great heights.
Over the mainland, the weather has been generally cooler than their northern counterparts with temperatures struggling to hit double figures yesterday and it appears as if it’s a similar story today in eastern and southern areas of the mainland.
The early part of the week appears changeable and continues the pattern of October to date.
