The westerly flow that dominated the country last week has boosted rainfall in western regions with the east getting some good totals too.
From a farming and growing point of view this rainfall was much needed and has returned soil moisture levels to normal in many regions. The rain falling this weekend in Canterbury will be helpful too with some parts much drier than normal.
This week coming up we’ll see more rain in the east of the country but drier than normal conditions spread to many places for this time of year.
