We have two big surges of cold air coming for New Zealand over the next several days with the first cold event peaking this Saturday.
Temperatures nationwide will tumble, down 7 to 12 degrees from current daytime highs.
The wind flows do change slightly in the week ahead which affects temperatures slightly, but at this stage the two coldest southerly surges look to spread across New Zealand this coming Friday and Saturday (peaking Saturday) and again next week around Tuesday or Wednesday.
