Friday saw temperatures climb rather high over much of New Zealand today with Canterbury seeing the highest temperatures.
Hanmer Springs hit 30 degrees with Christchurch and Darfield right behind on 29.
Almost all of the country was well into the 20s however the far south saw a cool wind change with patchy drizzle and the thermometer remained in the teens.Invercargill again took the low of 16.
Dunedinites saw the change move through this morning and once again the cricket was interrupted by drizzly skies late this afternoon despite a strong lead by the home team over England!

Auckland 26
Hamilton 28
Tauranga 25
Wellington24
Christchurch 29

There was no drizzle in Invercargill – the cool change was a cloudy one only.

Hi LM
Appreciate your comments but that’s why we mentioned patchy as it was hit and miss over coastal Southland and Otago. Hope that 16 wasn’t too chilly!
Cheers
