A large high continues to bring mostly sunny and warm weather to New Zealand with many centres in the 20s.
WeatherWatch.co.nz says temperatures are mostly between 16 and 21 degrees this hour with many main centres hovering around 20 degrees.
Wellington has a slightly cooler southerly and 15 degrees.
The dry, sunny, weather should continue until at least Friday with this weekend’s predicted low looking weaker by the day.
The mild, calm, weather may return next week too however long range models are showing that in 10 days time a sub-tropical change in the weather may take place.
Some models for Thursday April 21st show the entire Tasman Sea vulnerable to low development including what appears to be a link with the tropics. We’ll keep you posted on this latest prediction which could have an impact on Easter weather.

Hi WW, a great sunny day here in Whangarei, really beautiful and warm. Absolutely love it so it can stay as long as it wants.
On my patch just out of town it is 21 deg with approx 60% humidity. Met service at airport is showing just over 20 deg with 65%.
It started out glorious and this afternoon small amounts of white clouds are present which is sort of normal for us. Very nice indeed.
Being retired i can enjoy it but feel sorry for those at work.

Beautiful in Hamilton. Very light wind with sunny conditions.
I am not that happy to hear about Easter, hope the high for next week holds on. It was looking like a low could slide down the east coast of Aus after that but hope not
