Rain continues today in the eastern North Island with heavy falls around East Cape, Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay north of Napier.
Rainfall totals are still high enough to cause slips, localised flooding and the potential for some road closures or disruptions with 100 to 200mm still falling over the next day or two.
Elsewhere rainfall will be much lighter with accumulation over the ranges in western areas mostly below 10 or 5mm.
