Heating up in the east – Wednesday’s #WeatherRisks and your Main Centre outlook

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Weather wise, it’s not looking too risky anywhere around the country on Wednesday, though it will be quite hot for many along the east coasts of both Islands.

The North Island’s East Coast should see the warmest conditions, though the entire North Island is looking pretty steamy overall.

Rain overnight in Fiordland may be heavy, and winds after midday from the northwest through Cook Strait my be gusty at times, picking up in strength.

Main Centres

Auckland

Sunny and warm in Auckland, with temperatures reaching the late 20s in the afternoon.

Wellington

Sunny with breezy northwesterlies picking up in intensity towards afternoon – along with a high in the early 20s.

Christchurch

Early cloud cover breaks away to a sunny and mild afternoon, with the mercury hitting the mid 20s at times.
