High pressure in the Tasman Sea has more influence over our weather today meanwhile the past couple of days rough weather is moving away into the Pacific.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny, a few clouds in the west and for northern Northland (morning showers for northern Northland clear). Southerly winds.
Highs: 14-17

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny, a few clouds at times. Light winds tend southwest.
Highs: 7-15

Eastern North Island

A mix of sun and cloud, early rain for Gisborne eases to showers. Showers along the coastal fringe clear away in the afternoon. Southwesterlies.
Highs: 13-16

Wellington

Morning sun then some cloud from afternoon as light winds tend southwest.
Highs: 13-14

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, light winds tend west to southwest.
Highs: 13-15

Canterbury

Cloud starts to break away from afternoon, winds are light tending southwest about the coast for a time.
Highs: 13-15

West Coast

Sunny, a few showers for southern Fiordland. Light winds.
Highs: 13-14

Southland & Otago
Showers, clearing inland areas in the afternoon, becoming restricted to coastal Southland by evening. Sun breaks through at times from afternoon. Westerly winds.
Highs: 11-14
