A southeasterly airflow continues to lie over the North Island today bringing showers in the east, drier weather out west. The South Island has high pressure and settled frosty conditions.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Partly cloudy north of about Auckland, elsewhere is sunnier. Eastern Northland, Great Barrier Island, Coromandel and perhaps northern Auckland has a few showers. Southeasterlies, fresh in the east.
Highs: 15-18

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A mix of sun and cloud, closer to the west (New Plymouth etc) it will be sunnier. Southeasterly winds.
Highs: 10-16

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy with occasional showers. Wairarapa, especially in the south had drier spells. Southeasterly winds.
Highs: 13-16

Wellington

Partly cloudy, southeasterly winds.
Highs: 14-15

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, some cloud for Marlborough especially morning and evening. Light winds.
Highs: 11-15

Canterbury

Mist or fog morning and night, mostly sunny otherwise, some coastal cloud for Banks Peninsula northwards along the coast. Light east to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 6-13

West Coast

Sunny, mist or fog for inland Buller morning and again overnight. Coastal cloud for Fiordland. Light winds.
Highs: 10-14

Southland & Otago
Morning mist or fog then sunny with light winds, there may be areas of coastal cloud for Otago with winds tending northeast there.
Highs: 8-10
