Mainly settled today thanks to a ridge of high pressure, some cloud in the west and sunnier out east.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Fog possible morning and night, a mix of sun and cloud by day with the chance of one or two isolated showers. Light winds.
Highs: 14 – 15

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A mix of sun and cloud with a shower or two, clearing evening although Kapiti continues to see a few showers overnight. North to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 8 – 14

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny, light winds.
Highs: 14 – 16

Wellington

A mix of sun and cloud, northerly winds.
Highs: 12 – 13

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny with a touch of high cloud, morning west to southwest winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 13 – 15

Canterbury

Sunny, a few wisps of high cloud. North to northwesterly winds, tending northeast near the coast in the afternoon.
Highs: 11 – 14

West Coast

Mostly cloudy with rain for Fiordland, easing from afternoon. North of Greymouth there may be some sun. Light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.

Southland & Otago
Partly cloudy skies, a few spits or showers from late morning for Southland, clearing evening. North to northwesterly winds, perhaps tending northeast for coastal Otago.
