Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, some cloud possible in the west especially western Waikato. Southwesterly winds. A sea breeze may develop in the afternoon for eastern Bay Of Plenty and eastern Northland.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A mix of sun and cloud, light winds in the morning tend to the westerly quarter in the afternoon.

Eastern North Island
A mix of sun and cloud, low risk of a shower in the afternoon about the ranges. Light southwesterlies then tending to the east.

Wellington
Morning cloud then sunny, northerly winds.

Marlborough & Nelson
Any early cloud clears then sunny with light winds tending north to northeast in the afternoon.

Canterbury
Mostly sunny, some cloud at times. Light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.

Mostly sunny for North Westland, some cloud further south pushes into North Westland late afternoon or evening as light winds tend southwest. There may be a light drizzle patch or two south of about Greymouth where there is cloud.

Partly cloudy skies for Southland, risk of a light shower or two about the coast this morning otherwise mainly dry. Otago has mostly sunny weather, some cloud at times though especially morning. Westerlies tend southwest in the afternoon. Late afternoon winds tend easterly for coastal Otago.
