Calm across the country today thanks to high pressure, we do have cloud about though especially for parts of the North Island and top / bottom of the South Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Partly cloudy, one or two light showers possible mainly afternoon. Mist or fog possible morning and night, more so for inland areas. Northland may be cloudier than elsewhere. Light winds.
Highs: 14 – 15

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Partly cloudy, mist or fog possible morning and night. Light winds tend southeast. Afternoon westerlies for north Taranaki.
Highs: 10 – 14

Eastern North Island

Mostly cloudy, a few light showers possible. Light southwesterlies tend southeast around midday.
Highs: 12 – 14

Wellington

Morning drizzle possible, cloud breaks to sunny spells late afternoon, light southeasterlies.
Highs: 12 – 13

Marlborough & Nelson

Morning cloud for Marlborough breaks away then sunny. Mostly sunny for Nelson all day. Light southerlies tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 12 – 13

Canterbury

Sunny, mist or fog possible morning and night, especially inland. Perhaps some cloud near the coast north of Banks Peninsula. East to northeast winds.
Highs: 12 – 13

West Coast

Cloud for South Westland, sunnier further north, some cloud pushes further north late afternoon or evening. Fiordland has a few light showers. Light winds.
Highs: 12 – 15

Southland & Otago
Morning low cloud or fog then afternoon sunny spells, becoming mostly sunny for Otago. Light winds.
Highs: 13 – 16
