A front clears off to the east of New Zealand this afternoon, morning rain in the east clears then mainly sunny, the odd shower or some cloud affects western regions for much of the day.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Early rain eases to the odd shower and sunny spells, northerlies change southwest around midday. Not changing southwest till evening about the Bay Of Plenty.
Highs: 17-19

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Some morning rain then afternoon sunny spells as northeasterly winds change westerly.
Highs: 13-16

Eastern North Island
Some morning rain then a mostly sunny afternoon as northerlies tend northwest.
Highs: 17-19

Wellington
Morning rain then afternoon sun as northeasterly winds tend northwest.
High: 15

Marlborough & Nelson
Early rain clears then sunny. Northwesterlies for Marlborough, southwesterlies for Nelson.
Highs: 14-16

Canterbury
Sunny, light northwesterly winds.
Highs: 13-15

West Coast
Rain for Fiordland, showers further north. West to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 12-13

Southland & Otago
Early spots of rain clear Southland and Central Otago then mostly sunny, mainly sunny for coastal Otago. A few further spots of rain possible later in the evening for Southland. North to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 11-12
