Mainly anticyclonic today bringing mainly settled weather, plenty of cloud about though and a few showers.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Some cloud, may be a few light morning showers about Bay Of Plenty and Coromandel. Risk of an isolated shower late afternoon / evening especially inland just away from coastal areas. Afternoon sea breezes.
Highs: 23-24

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mainly sunny weather, some high cloud. Cloud builds in the afternoon about inland hills / ranges. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 22-24

Eastern North Island
Cloudy areas, may be a shower or two especially morning. Brightening up at times from afternoon. East to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 21-22

Wellington
A mix of sun and cloud with light east to northeast winds.
High: 21

Marlborough & Nelson
Morning cloud then mostly sunny with some high cloud, easterly winds for Marlborough, afternoon northerlies for Nelson.
Highs: 21-24

Canterbury
Cloudy spells, east to northeasterly winds freshen up in the afternoon.
Highs: 20-22

West Coast
Morning cloud breaks to sunny spells and high cloud, a light shower or two for Fiordland. Light winds tend westerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 20-25

Southland & Otago
Morning cloud or fog breaks to sunny areas and some high cloud. Light winds for most, afternoon sea breezes.
Highs: 21-27
