A ridge brings mainly settled weather for New Zealand today, for most this will mean mainly sunny conditions also however the east coast of the North Island still sees a few showers in a cool south to southeasterly airflow.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny with light east to southeasterly winds, some cloud about Northland especially in the east.
Highs: 13-14

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny with southeasterly winds, some cloud about the Manawatu and Kapiti.
Highs: 9-12

Eastern North Island
Mostly cloudy with the odd shower or drizzle patch, southerly winds.
Highs: 11-13

Wellington
Cloudy areas and occasional sun with southeasterly winds, there may be a shower or two about also.
High: 10

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with light winds tending east to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 10-12

Canterbury
Any morning cloud breaks to mainly sunny weather, a frosty start especially inland. Light winds in the morning then afternoon east to northeast winds.
Highs: 8-9

West Coast
Mostly sunny with some high cloud possible, light winds.
Highs: 11-12

Southland & Otago
Sunny after a heavy frost, light east to northeast winds.
Highs: 7-10
