A ridge brings reasonably settled conditions to the South Island today although cloud builds in the south. For the North Island expect a southerly airflow, some rain about Wellington and the Wairarapa, also afternoon showers for some in the north and east.
Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Morning showers clear Northland then expect some sun with southerly winds. Auckland sees sunny areas from morning however Great Barrier Island, some suburbs out east and the Coromandel sees the odd shower at times possibly heavy (more so afternoon), not clearing till evening. The Waikato and BOP see any early showers clear then sun moves in, the odd isolated shower possible again in the afternoon.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Showers, possibly heavy in the morning about the Manawatu then easing and clearing by evening. Taranaki sees sunny areas from morning. Southerly winds, gusty about Taranaki.

Eastern North Island
Early showers clear Hawkes Bay and Gisborne then sun breaking through, showers move in again late afternoon possibly heavy then clearing in the evening. The Wairarapa sees some rain develop in the morning, not clearing away till evening. Winds from the south.
Morning rain eases then clears around midday, some afternoon sun possible. Breezy southerly winds ease later in the day.

Mostly sunny with a few clouds about, perhaps a touch of high cloud also. Light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.
Sunny areas with light southerly winds tending east to northeast in the afternoon.
Mostly sunny with light winds, cloud a little more frequent from afternoon. Warmest temperatures about inland Buller.

Sunny areas in the morning, cloud builds after midday with the odd light shower or drizzle patch possible late afternoon on wards. Light winds.
