Morning showers ease then mostly clearing, sunny spells for the rest of the day with the odd remaining shower possible. Brisk southwesterlies.

Bay Of Plenty
Any morning showers in the west of the district clearing, becoming sunny otherwise this morning, southwesterlies tend westerly in the evening.
High: 12-13

Waikato & Central North Island

Any early showers clear, becoming mostly sunny by midday. Cool
southwesterlies.
Highs: 9-12

Eastern North Island

Morning cloud breaks away to sunny weather, southwesterly winds ease.
Westerlies freshen again from evening.
Highs: 12-13

Taranaki

Sunny with southerly winds in the morning, westerlies freshen from
afternoon. Cloud increases evening.
High: 13

Western North Island

Sunny with light winds in the morning, northwesterlies from afternoon.
Evening cloud.
High: 11

Wellington

Becoming sunny in the morning, southerlies tend NW in the afternoon
High: 11

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with any early cloud clearing, light winds. West to northwest winds
freshen from afternoon, late cloud.
Highs: 12-13

Canterbury

Any early coastal showers (mainly Banks Peninsula) clear to sunny weather,
southwesterlies die out in the morning. Some evening high cloud possible with
winds tending northwest, mainly inland.
Highs: 11-12

West Coast

Sunny in the morning with light winds, westerlies freshen from midday with
increasing cloud. Evening showers, winds change southwest overnight.
High: 11

Coastal Otago

Sunny areas with west to northwest winds, some high cloud developing. A few
brief spells of rain early afternoon then clearing mid afternoon with winds
changing brisk westerly.
High: 9

Central Otago

Sunny areas and some developing high cloud, increasing northwesterlies.
Spells of rain develop mid afternoon mainly in the west. Showers becoming more
widespread later in the evening.
Highs: 6-8

Southland

Sunny areas and some increasing high cloud, northwesterly winds freshen.
Spells of rain develop around midday, winds change brisk westerly mid afternoon.
Showers and snow flurries to 600m overnight as winds tend southwest.
High: 10
