A ridge covers the country tonight bringing mainly settled and clear weather, along with that comes cold overnight lows due to the time of year. A front however moves onto the far south of the South Island.

Auckland & Northland
Mainly clear skies about Auckland with southerlies easing this evening, areas of cloud about Northland clear overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 7-9

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Clear skies with light south to southwesterly winds easing away this
evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 0-6

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies with southerlies dying out this evening for Wairarapa
and Hawkes Bay, cloud about Gisborne clearing this evening with southerlies
dying out there overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 2-5

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies with light winds, south to southeasterly winds about
Taranaki ease this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 3-6

Wellington

Clear skies with northerly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 10

Nelson

Clear skies, light winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 4-5

Marlborough

Clear skies, light winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 1-2

Canterbury

Clear skies with a few areas of high cloud developing this evening and
overnight. Light winds, easterlies near the coast ease.
Tonight’s Lows: 4-5

West Coast

Light westerlies with increasing cloud, rain moves into Fiordland
overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 7-8

Coastal Otago

Areas of high cloud increase this evening, light winds. An overnight
southwest change brings a few showers.
Tonight’s Low: 8

Central Otago

High cloud increasing this evening, west to northwest winds. Overnight a
few spells of rain move in.
Tonight’s Low: 6

Southland

High cloud with northwesterly winds, a westerly change around midnight
brings some rain which eases before dawn.
Tonight’s Lows: 9-10
