A westerly airflow lies over the country tonight, expect some high cloud for most eastern areas although it will be clearing later this evening about the South Island’s east coast. In the west a weak front works it’s way north and may deliver a shower.

Auckland & Northland
Clear with some high cloud, a few general areas of cloud develop through the night also. West to southwest winds.
Lows tonight: 9-11

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island
Mainly clear with some cloud developing through the night, light westerlies.
Lows tonight: 4-7

Eastern North Island
Some high cloud develops later this evening, light winds.
Low tonight: 6-7

Western North Island
Areas of cloud increase from evening, west to northwest winds. Chance of a shower by dawn.
Lows tonight: 9-10

Wellington
Cloudy areas breaking up overnight, breezy northerly winds.
Low tonight: 10

Nelson
Clear spells and some cloud, light winds.
Low tonight: 5-6

Marlborough
High cloud clearing overnight, west to northwest winds ease this evening.
Lows tonight: 3-4

Canterbury
High cloud gradually clearing this evening, light winds.
Lows tonight: 2-3

West Coast
Fairly cloudy, chance of a shower. Light winds.
Lows tonight: 6-7

Coastal Otago
High cloud clearing this evening, light winds.
Lows tonight: 6-7

Southland & Central Otago
Clear spells and some cloud with breezy west to northwest winds.
Lows tonight: 4-7
