Australia’s bushfire smoke covers the North Island – plus, most of NZ is in for a very dry end to January.

There will be a few showers about. so we’ll track that – plus we take a look at the coming weekend forecast… which also looks pretty good for the most part, but is that another tropical storm?

Come on Duncan, ‘Here comes the big dry’?
It’s the 21st of January and it’s forecast to be largely dry till February. Is 10 days without significant rain really ‘the big dry’?
How about trying ‘NZ’s first settled spell of the summer’.
