FOOTAGE: Historical Brisbane tornado

Brisbane is known to be hit by the occasional cyclone and severe flooding as we’ve already seen this summer but twisters are a rare event.

On this day in 1973 a tornado ripped through the suburbs and although the video is fairly grainy, we still get a good idea of this force of nature.
