Fog closes New Plymouth Airport

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Heavy fog that closed New Plymouth Airport has eased slightly, but flights are still restricted due to limited visibility.

Kevin Hill from the airport was quoted as saying the management are taking it “plane by plane”, after several incoming flights faced troubles when trying to land.

Dozens of flights in and out of the city were cancelled, while the Taranaki Community Rescue Helicopter was also grounded by heavy fog in Raglan.
