Twelve flights have been delayed and four cancelled as a result of fog at Auckland Airport this morning.
Airport spokesman Gabriel Thompson said it was predominantly regional, domestic flights that had been affected.
“ATC [Air Traffic Control] have just called through to lift the restrictions on fog so operations have been resumed back to normal.”
An Air New Zealand spokeswoman confirmed their Link services had been affected.
Flights from Auckland to Taupo, Wanganui, Whakatane and Bay of Islands had been cancelled.
Full details of cancellations and delays can be found on the Auckland Airport and Air New Zealand website.
