Finally some sunny, settled, weather this weekend

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The latest data and models used by WeatherWatch.co.nz show there’s a high chance of sunny, settled, weather arriving this weekend for all of New Zealand.

A large high pressure system moving in from Australia means settled conditions are likely this weekend and well into next week.

WeatherWatch.co.nz says while the first day of October, this Friday, may be wet in a number of centres to begin with, the rest of the first week of October looks far more positive.

The large high is expected to be slow moving and the centre should cross central New Zealand – meaning all of New Zealand should see some calm, warm, mostly sunny weather from Saturday until mid next week.

WeatherWatch.co.nz says in spring the weather is often changeable but the latest updates from the global forecasting system show a high chance of an anticyclone moving in this weekend and lasting a number of days.
