Ferry crossings could be disrupted

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Travellers hoping to travel across Cook Strait today could face disappointment due to cancellations or delays as ex-cyclone Ita moves down the country.

Interislander passengers have been advised to monitor the company’s website to check on their sailings.

The company has said delays might continue today, depending on the weather, but services were expected to return to normal by tomorrow.

Stena Alegra passengers, due to sail on yesterday’s 5pm crossing, were rebooked on today’s 7am Arahura sailing.

Wild weather cancelled last night’s Arahura freight crossing from Wellington, but sailings should resume today.
