A fairly cool and light southerly in Wellington is keeping a lid on temperatures making for ideal conditions for specatators and fans out in the sun today for the Sevens.
Temperatures in the capital are only around 17 or 18 degrees this hour however inside the Cake Tin may well be closer to 22 to 23 degrees.
The forecast is for dry conditions with passing clouds and mostly light winds from the south today.
Tomorrow will see another dry, sunny, day with conditions potentially a little warmer.
Despite some coastal areas being just 17 degrees this hour WeatherWatch.co.nz reminds those in Wellington that the UV index remains extreme. Meaning even if you don’t feel especially hot, the chance of getting sunburt is extremely high.
