The Easter Bunny had to contend with a few icicles on his paws overnight but conditions will be mostly dry and warm today. Despite morning cloud in some areas dry weather will prevail today.
And for children (and some adults!) heading out on Easter Egg hunts today the sun should make more of an appearance as the day progresses, for those waking to a cloudy morning.
The rain clouds are also staying clear…the only areas that may possibly see a very light isolated shower would be those right on the Tasman Sea coastline, however the chances are slim.
Eastern and northern areas of both islands will be sunniest today and the warmest. Day time highs will be in the late teens or early 20s.
Outdoor Sunday roasts are also quite likely today with light winds almost everywhere meaning no wind chill, coupled with clearing skies conditions should be pleasant outside.
Happy Easter, from everyone at the Weather Watch Centre.
