Dry and warm Saturday across most of New Zealand

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Whilst more rain is certainly needed, many Kiwis are taking advantage of the sunshine today.

Not everyone is seeing lots of sunshine today.  Cheryl Johnstone says that it is a quite dull in Levin with no sunshine.  Lesley Collins said “lots of cloud and saw the sun for 20 seconds in Palmy.”

But around much of the country, it is dry and warm.

Anne McClimont in Christchurch says it’s a weekend of “sport, sport and more sport.”  Rowanne Lucas is in Woodend and says “Man, it’s hot out there.”

Rach Louise van Stockum says it’s quite hot in Napier.

Indeed, the hottest temps are likely to be found across the eastern parts of both islands with Hawke’s Bay and Christchurch seeing the warmest temps with highs in the upper 20s.

A mainly cloudy sky is expected to hang tough about the Kapiti Coast and hold temperatures in the upper teens to lower 20s
