Dramatic pictures of oil spill in Thailand

One of Thailand’s most popluar tourist destinations is now the scene of a huge cleanup effort – with volunteers and soldiers fight to contain more than 50,000 liters of oil washing into shore.

Black oil now covers Ao Prao beach on the island of Koh Samet, after a standard transfer operation between a tanker and a seabed pipeline went wrong.
