We may be well past the longest day of the year and the temperatures may be creeping down a degree or two but don’t let that fool you – the sun is still brutal.
The UV index is still borderline “very high/extreme” over much of the country – which means in just a matter of minutes your skin can be damaged by ultra violet radiation.
UV rays are at their strongest between 10am and 4pm…so avoid the direct sun during those hours if possible.
If you are out in the sun for more than just a few minutes don’t forget to slip, slop, slap and wrap.
