Daylight Saving begins overnight – clocks spring forward 1 hour

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Daylight Saving begins in the early hours of Sunday morning across New Zealand so for the clocks that don’t auto update you’ll need to ‘spring forward’ the time by one hour before you go to sleep tonight!

The change will mean we’re waking up an early hour earlier for the next several months but it provides more available daylight at the end of the day.

Whether you love it, or hate it, New Zealand observes daylight saving hours from this weekend until the first weekend of April 2021.
