Damp north, cool south

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Temperatures are in the mid to high teens over the upper North Island this morning but overhead conditions aren’t the brightest. Even the Gisborne region is reporting a a few spots rain in a nor’ wester but it’s not expected to last too long and conditions should be quite mild for Guy Fawkes tonight.

Down south and although skies are generally clearer, temperatures have plummeted from yesterday’s heady heights. Queenstown has a light ground frost and just 2 degrees and Wanaka is just a couple of degrees warmer.
